Marla Drewel-Lynch, Director of Camps
Marla Drewel-Lynch, draws upon her 30 years of experience as an educator as she works with our youngest campers, ages 4-6. Having been a counselor for Girl Scout and YMCA Camps, Marla’s passion for helping children learn while having fun led her to the Camp Rainbow Foundation, where she has been a volunteer for over 10 years.
Similarly to a traditional camp, our day campers enjoy swimming, arts and crafts, music, drama, nature, archery, and fishing. Staff and counselors get to know the campers very well, and this ensures that individual needs are met and modifications are made so that no one is left out of any activity. Theme days are planned so that campers of all ages will be able to experience the events. When children relate to and participate in the theme in their own way, it brings unity to the day, as well as something to look forward to in the days to come.
Her hope is that the campers learn to love the outdoors, experience nature, and gather strength from the experience while enjoying the smiles, fun, and laughter that the week of camp brings.
